The Work
Since 2007, Dayna has been a student of astrology, connecting the dots between the celestial and the earthly in order to make sense of the chaos of the human condition. In 2014 during a hiatus that pregnancy and motherhood required, her studies deepened through an exploration of past astrological traditions. This led to the abandonment of the tropical (mainstream) calculation of the zodiac and the embrace of the sidereal calculation.
It was Dayna’s private prediction that Trump would win the 2016 presidential election based upon her reading of his sidereal birth chart that gave her the confidence to speak publicly about astrology. In the years since, Dayna has grown her platform, The People’s Oracle, organically to 44.4k followers on Twitter and 40.4k on Instagram through accurate predictions about Covid-19, elections, pop culture, and the personal lives of her clients.
Dayna has singlehandedly shifted the conversation around astrology in the West, pioneering an innovative framework that integrates the lived experience of the most vulnerable, giving them language to name their suffering and the keys to their liberation through divination. Dayna’s predictions during the pandemic era catapulted her to the forefront as a thought leader on how we can conspire with the planets and each other to bring about the change our souls are calling us towards, individually and collectively. Her teachings, “Survival is meant to be a shared burden, and not an individual obligation” and “Revolution begins in the body; freedom begins in the imagination” has inspired artists, playwrights, and academics and many more to see their work as Divination for Liberation, too.
